NTA Undergraduate (UG) Test Examination
Every year National Testing Agency conducts a National level examination for the candidates seeking admission to various central univerisity/ college across India. The candidate who has qualified his/ her intermediate examination may apply for the test.
About Central Universities (CUs)
Central Universities or Union Universities in India are established by an Act of Parliament and are under the purview of the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education. In general, Universities in India are recognized by the UniversityGrants Commission (UGC), which draws its power from the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. In addition, 15 Professional Councils are established, controlling different aspects of accreditation and coordination. Central universities, in addition, are covered by the Central Universities Act, 2009, which regulates their purpose, powers, governance, etc.
About Common University Entrance Test (CUET(UG)-2023)
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for Academic session 2023-24 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
Role of NTA
The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising answer keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting Score Card. Merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (UG) - 2023 provided by NTA.

- Starting of Online Submission of application form : 09 February 2023
- Last Date of Submission of application form : 12 March 2023
- Correction in Particulars: 15 March to 18 March 2023
- Announcement of Examination Cities :30 April 2023
- Admit Card : 2nd Week of May 2023
- Date of Examination :21 May to 31 May 2023
- Result : To be Announced Later
- Available course:- Bachelor in Science, Bachelor in Arts, Bachelor in Commerce, etc.
- Course Duration :- 3 Years/ 4 Years

- Mode of Examination: :- CUET (UG) - 2023 will completely be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Educatoinal Qualification
The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) - 2023 examination.
Application Fee (upto 3 subjects)
- For General: Rs750/-
- For OBC/ EWS : Rs700/-
- For SC / ST & Women candidates : Rs600/-

Medium of Examination
Medium of the Question Papers: Drawing from the National Education Policy (NEP), the CUET (UG)- 2023 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Scheme of The Examination
- For General Test, Candidates will have to attempt 50 Questions out of 60..
- For all other subjects including languages, 35/40 Questions are to be attempted out of 45/50
Important Documents for Filling the Online Application Form
The documents required for filling online application form is following: -
- Recent Passport Size photo
- Scanned Signature in Hindi and English
- Adhar Card or Any Government Issued Identity Card
- Marksheet/ Certificate of Matriculation
- Marksheet/ Certificate of Intermediate
- Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Residence Certificate, OBC NCL Certificate should be issued within 1 Year. EWS, SC/ST Certificate if applicabl.
